Jerome Carter
Jerome Carter (he/his), a Founding Board Member of the Braxton Institute for Sustainability Resiliency and Joy,, was the first graduate to receive Honors in Africana Studies from William & Mary, where he remains a leader in alumni affairs. He also holds an MBA from Yale School of Management with a concentration in Healthcare, and the M.Eng. in Systems Engineering from The University of Virginia. With over a decade of expertise in Healthcare, Jerome Carter is particularly committed to advancing Wellness in underserved communities. As one of the visionaries behind Henry Health, a teletherapy platform that addresses mental health access disparities among African Americans, Carter has made substantial contributions to the field. For over ten years, he has effectively utilized technology to enhance clinical outcomes. As a founding board member, Carter played a pivotal role in designing and implementing the original Braxton Institute Dialogues on Resisting and Thriving at the Potter's House in Washington, D.C., providing grounded leadership, oversight, and support across various initiatives. A stalwart ambassador for the good work of the Braxton Institute over time, Jerome remains a trusted advisor, friend, and colleague.
