BRaxton Institute Circles of Care…
create a space for healing, safety, as well as affirmation for ourselves and our sacred siblings during the current wave of moral panic which targets us and our loved ones. The Circles will gather beloveds to receive care for their spiritual well-being, resources for renewal, and witness for their unique and shared spiritual journeys.
Most of all, Circles of Care are radically hospitable spaces that are all-faith and no-faith inclusive. We understand that care for our most marginalized communities means:
● We must acknowledge the violence many have experienced in the name of religion;
● We must honor the range of religious / spiritual / ethical lineages from which we come; and
● We must reflect the plurality of traditions and rituals from which we practice.
To seek peace, we must be at peace. We are excited to create a sanctuary and place of refuge for those of us whose very existence is threatened.
In our most recent Dialogue on Resisting and Thriving, Rev. Dr. Kelle Brown and I spoke with Rev. Mother Yvonne Delk, who inspired us with her Afro-Christian spiritual grounding for extending extravagant welcome for those who are trans and non-binary. Welcome to the Braxton Institute West.
